Jonathan Saruk Jonathan Saruk is a freelance photojournalist currently based between Kabul, Afghanistan and Malmö, Sweden. He is a graduate of the International Center of Photography were he was awarded a scholarship from The New York Times Foundation. He was recently recognized by the Magenta Foundation as an emerging artist in their Flash Forward 2009 competition and by the International Photography Awards for his work on the conflict in Afghanistan. In 2008, Jonathan attended the Eddie Adams Workshop where he was awarded a prize by the Associated Press. His work has been published in The New York Times, Newsweek, The Times (London) and Le Figaro. He as also worked for non-governmental organizations such as International Relief and Development and the International Medical Corps.
