Jesse Newman

Jesse Newman is a freelance photojournalist specializing in documentary photography and portraiture. She is a graduate of the Photojournalism & Documentary Photography Program at the International Center of Photography.
Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Newsweek and TIME Magazine. Recent clients also include the Global Fund for Children, Lakota People's Law Project, and Yukon River Drainage Fisheries Association. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Rapid City, SD and China. In 2008, she attended the Eddie Adams Workshop. Her photographs and multimedia have won awards from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and the Magenta Foundation.
Jesse holds a B.A. in History from Carleton College and an MSc in Forced Migration from the University of Oxford. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
