Gianni Cipriano Gianni Cipriano is a New York based photojournalist and freelance photographer for The New York Times. His clients and publications include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The International Herald Trubune, MSNBC.com, PepsiCo, Classic Media, D Repubblica, Io Donna, Ventiquattro and IL (Il Sole 24 Ore), Courrier International, Vanity Fair Italy, Diario, Esquire Russia, The Sunday Times Magazine and The British Journal of Photography. He graduated in the 2007/08 Documentary Photography and Photojournalism Program at the International Center of Photography in New York and interned with photojournalists Ron Haviv (VII) and Christopher Anderson (Magnum Photos). He is currently among the “Emerging Talents” of Reportage by Getty Images. He has been selected for the XXI 2008 Eddie Adams Workshop in New York and the 2009 Reflexions Masterclass by Giorgia Fiorio and Gabriel Bauret in Rome. He has recently been nominated for the 2009 Joop Swart World Press Photo Masterclass. Gianni Cipriano’s photographs have been exhibited at the International Center of Photography in New York, at the Getty Images Gallery in London, at the Pingyao International Photography Festival in China, at the “Visa pour l’Image” in Perpignan and Paris with the collaboration of ANI (Association Nationale des Iconographes). Gianni Cipriano was born in 1983 and has lived in Italy, the United States and Switzerland. He first studied Aerospace Engineering and then Architecture at the University of Palermo, Italy, before moving to New York in 2007.
